About the Benefit:

Good Shepherd Day Care was founded in 1969 to help economically disadvantaged families  Good Shepherd Daycare is Milford's only daycare that operates on a sliding scale that is based upon a family's ability to pay.  Good Shepherd serves children whose parents are mostly single and are of low-to-moderate income.  The church which currently houses the daycare needs the space, so Good Shepherd is forced the find a new home.  As if finding a new home isn't hard enough, Good Shepherd needs to find a home in Milford which will be accessible by public transportation since most of the parents rely on mass transit and the trains downtown to get to work.  If the daycare is closed, then the parents who rely on it will be forced to choose between sending their children to a daycare they would have great difficulty affording, or losing their jobs.  Good Shepherd presently offers parents a safe  and affordable place for their children while they work.

WAYS YOU CAN HELP WITH THE UPCOMING BENEFIT CAR SHOW:

Monetary Donations:

Donations can be made to Good Shepherd Daycare Center and be dropped off or mailed to Bell's Auto Service at 1264 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, CT  06770.

T-Shirt Sponsorship:   $150.00

This price includes 1 of 10 advertising spaces on the back of 100 t-shirts.  Each sponsor receives 5 t-shirts to keep and 95 shirts will be given away at the show.  This is a GREAT WAY TO ADVERTISE!!  For your contribution, your business will also be featured on bellspeed.com for the entire year.

Raffle Prizes:

Items, services and/or gift certificates are needed to be raffled off at the car show.  If you would like to donate in this capacity, please call Bell's Auto & Speed right away!!

Car Division Sponsor:  $50.00 per division

Each category in the car show is broken down into divisions.  Your donation of $50 will cover the cost of the trophies for that division.  Your name (whether it is a business or individual) will be announced at the show during the trophy presentations and will also be listed on each division sheet passed out to all car exhibitors and spectators.

Vendor Space Rental:  $100 per space

Vendor space is available at the show.  All of the collected fees will be donated to this year's cause.

Sponsorship forms must be submitted NO LATER than May 23rd.

OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP:

The following is a list of items needed:

Food:  Hamburgers, hot dogs, rolls, American cheese slices, packets of ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, soda and bottled water, coffee, tea, milk/creamer, sugar and sugar alternative packets.

Paper Goods:  Paper plates, napkins, disposable utensils, paper towels, table cloths, coffee stirrers, hot paper cups and straws.

Miscellaneous:  Barbeque grills, charcoal, lighter fluid, barbeque utensils, coolers, tables & chairs, coffee maker and urns are also needed.

We are expecting approximately 400 car exhibitors and 1500 spectators.

SHOW RULES

Classes may be combined based on participation.

NO Personal music is allowed.

Decision of show staff will be final for vehicle classification.

SORRY, NO PETS, BOOZE AND NO BEATERS PLEASE!

SCHEDULE

Registration:               9:30am - 1pm

Judging Begins:        10am - 3pm

General Admission:    Noon - 6pm

Awards:                        4pm - 6pm

REGISTRATION FEE/DONATION:  $20 per car - CASH OR CHECK (Checks can be made out to Good Shepherd Daycare Center) and paid at Bell's Auto & Speed OR the day of the Show
